Here's my second set for the letter sounds worksheets: middle 8 sounds in the initial position of words.
The sounds of t, c or k, g, f, v, j, ch, and ng comprise the middle 8 sounds which are usually mastered by children from age 3 1/2 to 6 or 7. I did not include the "ng" sound (like the last sound in the word "kicking"), as it's not a common sound to be at the start of English words. Actually, I can't even think of any English word that starts with "ng" off the top of my head right now!
I will, however, be making a Filipino version of my letter sounds worksheet, and perhaps I will add the "ng" sound in my initial word position worksheets as it's more common in Filipino than in English. I have split the "k" sound (which is the same sound for both letters c and k) into different worksheets for each letter, as I think it would be useful and less confusing for children who are also starting to spell words.
As to the color-coding of the worksheets which I have previously mentioned in my earlier letter sounds worksheet post, I am continuing the color-coding scheme here. Thus, I've used the color yellow to indicate middle eight sounds, and the yellow-green for initial word positions.
